The Institute of Qigong and Integrative Medicine is an education 501(3)(c) non-profit dedicated to the principles of wellness, self-care, and self-realization through the practice of Yi Ren® Qigong and related practices.
What is Qigong?
Qigong (pronounced chee gung) is a traditional Chinese energy medicine practice combining breathing, movement, and meditation. In Qigong, the term “qi” (or “chi” ) means “vital energy of the body” and “gong” means the skill and achievement cultivated through regular and disciplined practice.
Our mission is to provide exemplary education, wellness services, and training for the development of Qi-Mind-Body-Soul integration that will empower individuals in self-healing and fulfillment of their inherent potential.
What We Do
We fulfill our commitment to our mission and vision by offering classes, organizing community events, training and certifying teachers and conducting research in integrative medicine with a special focus on the efficacy of qigong in the treatment of specific health conditions such as Type 2 diabetes.
Who We Are
With a group of dedicated volunteers and donors, Dr. Guan-Cheng Sun founded IQ&IM in 1998 to fulfill a lifelong commitment to teaching and exemplifying the principles and practices of Yi Ren® Qigong. Our wellness mission is fulfilled through the generous collaboration of our staff, board of directors, community, donors, volunteers, and research partners.
