About Level I Specific Exercises and Theory

About Level I Specific Exercises and Theory

This first course in the Yi Ren® Qigong Foundation series is designed to introduce you to the natural steps of qi activation, cultivation, grounding, and development, and how they relate to Yi Ren® Qigong theories and principles.  Level I generally includes exercises and meditations to:

  • Activate the kidneys and “Lifegate”—the “internal power station” of our body’s energy system. (Part 1).
  • Cultivate the body’s energy centers for overall health and well-being. (Part 1)
  • Ground the body’s qi to help regulate and release unhealthy energies. (Part 1)
  • Activate the healing pathways of the autonomic nervous system to balance and harmonize our internal organ functions. (Part 2)
  • Circulate healthy energies throughout the main Yin (Ren) and Yang (Du) meridians through the Small Universe exercise to promote vitality, creativity, immunity, and self-healing. (Part 2)
  • Calm the thinking mind and promote inner peace. (Part 2)
  • Prepare the body for Level II practices which activate and circulate energy through the twelve internal organ meridians.

The purpose of Level I exercises is to activate and stabilize the energy field, increase internal energy levels and develop the body’s internal energetic communication system.

In addition, this course provides methods and techniques for experiencing the internal energy centers and qi pathways of the primary Yin (Ren) and Yang (Du) meridians. The focus of this course is on activating and cultivating your own qi-energy in order to prepare you for further exploration of the organ meridian pathways (Level II) and extraordinary meridian pathways (Level III).
